ISS FACILITY SERVICES is currently recruiting a Logistics Operative with Drive Licence to assist with Mailroom activities and set up meeting rooms for events and conferences to be held in one of the most prestigious and strong European retail banking contracts.

Job description:


Reporting directly to the Mailroom and Supplier Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide and deliver a service ensuring all meeting rooms are set up with the correct layouts and kept clean and tidy in line with the set standards.

Driving, loading, transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner in line with the bank service standards.


Key Competencies:

Working with the ISS team to ensure that all standards of customer satisfaction are met or exceeded.

  • To wear personal protective equipment as required, when carrying out specific duties, in accordance with the standards of performance manual.
  • To ensure the smooth operation of the meeting room setups and layouts.
  • To manage the working day accordingly ensuring sufficient time slots are allocated for meeting room setups
  • Communicate with the Conference Bookings Team regarding Meeting room setups including daily reports for bookings
  • To be available for adhoc tasks and last minute changes to setups and room layouts.
  • Support Mailroom associated tasks as and when required.
  • Receive, process and distribute/despatch internal and external goods/mail items according to requirements and procedures.
  • Ensure that all received items are undamaged and examined appropriately according to safety and security equirements.
  • Operate equipment (e.g. xray inspection machines, mechanical handling equipment) according to instructions and procedures.
  • Ensure regular safety checks of vehicle, equipments and machines used during the working day are carried out, results recorded and defects or faults reported.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.

Standards

  • To ensure that all Client site procedures and standards are met.
  • Work closely with other service partners to ensure a seamless service.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Carry out all requests and tasks in a helpful and professional manner, build relationships with key staff and consistently demonstrate a good customer service interface.
  • To undertake any reasonable additional requests made by Team leaders, Supervisors or Managers to ensure that the overall contract service standard is maintained.
  • To ask for help from colleagues when under pressure and dealing with high demands.
  • To adhere to the company personal hygiene standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • To be flexible in your approach in terms of operational requirements.
  • To maintain the necessary confidentiality on all client matters.
  • To show responsibility for personal Health and Safety, and that of others in the conduct of the job in line with the role and Legal requirement

Personal Experience/Qualifications/Skills required:


  • Good ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team when required
  • Must be flexible
  • Presentable appearance
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Manual handling Training (preferable)
  • Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Good customers service experience
  • Excellent organisational/time management skills and avid multitasks
  • Confident telephone manner
