Job purpose


The Marketing and Communications Officer supports programme delivery and growth by creating targeted communications for key stakeholders and growing our online audience.

They also develop and manage our communications strategy, including marketing budgets, forecasting and audience analytics.

Key responsibilities

1) Digital, Social Media and Communications Support

Working with the CEO and team members to:

  • Develop and produce high-quality, informative digital and social media content across multiple platforms
  • Maintain a regular stream of social media activity across all platforms, striking an appropriate balance between different types of content in order to entertain, inform, and engage with our audience as well as contributing to business objectives
  • Create and monitor multiple simultaneous communications campaigns, including their key messaging, objectives, analytics, content production and budgets
  • Create, launch and report on paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook Ads and Google Ads, informed by business intelligence from website and social media analytics
  • Ensure all messaging aligns with key business strategies
  • Develop content for webpages, newsletters, press releases, and any other distribution channels
  • Develop or commission market research as needed
  • Report regularly on communications activity in relation to key business objectives
  • Design generic marketing materials, presentations and other templates for the organisation
  • Identify and capitalise on media and press opportunities which further our core mission and objectives
2) Content Creation

  • Gather and edit creative and engaging video resources for Money4YOU (including testimonials and marketing materials) and BAMER HUB (including training and educational materials)
  • Working closely with the operational team, differentiate written materials into scripts suitable for recording video content, where required
  • Back up and archive both new and historical video content, maintaining and organising equipment if appropriate
  • Arrange logistics for video content creation, including advice on best practices for lighting, positioning, stabilisation and sound
3) Other

  • Contribute to fundraising for the organisation's priorities
  • Attend regular team meetings and participate in Money4YOU events, away days, and other staff team commitments and meetings as necessary
  • Participate regularly in individual supervision, training, reflective practice and appraisals

Job Types:
Permanent, Full-time


Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
