School Caretaker/Site Manager
We are looking for a School Caretaker / Site Manager to work at a lovely primary school in Epping. Working up to 10 hours per day or split shifts, the hours are negotiable.

We are looking for an exceptional, energetic, self-motivated, reliable, multi-skilled, proactive and organised Site Manager.

Previous experience as a Caretaker / Site Manager is essential, building trade experience a plus.

THE POSITION
The fundamental part of this job will be premises management.

This entails the maintenance and security of the building and grounds, ensuring the cleanliness of the site through the line management of cleaners.

Other duties and skills required will include:
Duties will also include being the primary key holder, locking and unlocking of the premises.

Ability to manage and consult with contractors to organise unplanned and scheduled works and to check that works have been completed to the standard required.

Assist with the preparation of plans for long-term projects to develop and improve the premises.

The management/ordering and safe storage of cleaning materials and ensuring the inside and outside environment are well maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements (COSHH).

Responsible for the regular checking and operation of systems such as heating, cooling, lighting, and security systems

A comprehensive range of DIY skills such as routine painting and decorating, gardening, general maintenance, minor plumbing works and general repairs.

Undertake ad-hoc cleaning duties as required.

Able to relate well to children and interact with them in a friendly and positive manner.
