Description

An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, hard-working and progressive Ultrasound team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.

The ultrasound department scans approximately 40,000 patients per year in a variety of clinical settings, working alongside Consultant Radiologists and supporting Radiology and Obstetric Registrar Ultrasound training together with an on-going Trainee Sonographer programme.

We are looking for a self-motivated and well organised Sonographer with proven ability to work autonomously.

As an experienced and competent Sonographer, you will understand the need for a caring and compassionate approach along with attention to detail.

You will be expected to play a key role in the delivery of a quality ultrasound service over a 7 day working week.

As a minimum, you will undertake obstetric, gynaecological and abdominal ultrasound examinations providing independent reports - this includes early pregnancy assessment, anomaly and fetal growth obstetric scans in accordance with FASP guidelines, gynaecological emergency, acute surgical admissions and one-stop clinics for haematuria and post-menopausal bleeding.

Specialist interest in MSK, small parts or neck sonography would be desirable but is not essential.
