Description

A FTSE 100 Insurance client of ours are on the lookout for two Senior Data Engineers who will be focused on designing and building out new data pipelines and architecture within AWS to support the wider team.

Working closely with Product and Sales, theteam are critical to the understanding and analysis of customer data.

You'll be working across the business to ensure that the newly established data platform is continuously adding value to each function as well as supplying customers with the tools they know they can trust.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Understanding of strategic plans to create effective and scalable ETL pipelines
  • Work alongside the wider data team to shape the platform, drive agile working and create a technology led data lifecycle
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across the business to understand business needs and manage timings and deadlines

Experience:


  • Strong AWS experience, ideally having worked with Redshift, Glue and S
  • Python and PySpark experience
  • Solid knowledge with
  • Hadoop, or other big data/distributed computing processing
  • Design and architecture of platforms, ideally handling large customer data sets
  • Agile development methodologies and creating of CI/CD pipelines
