Description

Youth Support Worker:

Duties:


  • Educate and mentor youth in various areas of their development
  • Provide guidance and support to youth in navigating challenges and conflicts
  • Assist with the implementation of programmes and activities designed to promote positive youth development
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a safe and inclusive environment for youth
  • Monitor and supervise youth during programme hours
  • Maintain accurate records of youth participation and progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding the wellbeing of the youth
  • Target populated areas for youth engagement outside of school hours
- deliver workshops in local schools to young people most at risk
- communicate with local businesses


Requirements:


  • Experience working with youth in an educational or child welfare setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with diverse populations of youth
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Understanding of E2s Safeguarding Policy
