This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual, to join our new Community Diagnostic Centre at Clacton Hospital.You will have good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills and be able to work under pressure.
The post is varied and interesting and if you enjoy involvement with the general public and healthcare professionals this is the post for you.
This is a 15 hour post that will be split into 3 x 5 hour shifts across a 7 day week 07:4- 20:00.
Flexibility will be required to provide cover for annual leave, bank holidays and sickness absences.
Checking CPIS and accessing the child protection system when requested by medical staff.
To be responsible for the quality of data recorded. The data should be accurate, legible (if hand written), recorded in a timely manner, kept up to date and appropriately filed
To collect and record personal information from patients/relatives on arrival in the department in an appropriate and confidential manner. At times this may be a challenging task, given that patients/relatives
may arrive in a distressed or shocked state. The receptionist takes responsibility for alerting the nursing staff immediately in the case of patients needing immediate urgent assessment, Identify, communicate
and act on changes to patient's condition and interpret the significance of data observed and recorded.
