Description
To contribute and support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions continuous improvement and effective support service to patients, their family and carers and the multi
- professional team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Register patients on arrival, ensuring all demographic and episode details are recorded on the patient administration system. Arrange outpatient clinic appointments for patients where necessary.

Responsible for dealing with all queries, either via telephone or face to face
promptly and efficiently to ensure that accurate and quality information is provided.

Responsible for the completion of general administration tasks.

Holds the responsibility for recording information clearly and accurately.

Participate in a network of highly complex information including that of a sensitive nature, where tact and diplomacy skills are required.

Recognise the need for confidentiality regarding individual patients, acting as their advocate when they themselves are unable.

Maximise opportunities to participate fully as a team member by sharing
knowledge, information and involving team members in decision making when appropriate to promote cohesive teamwork.

Involve multidisciplinary team members in decision-making on issues that affect the smooth organisation of the department and the delivery of care, often requiring diplomatic and persuasive skills.
