Job Profile:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the LSL Estate Agency Franchise division. Based within the Rent Protection & Legal Expenses Insurance Team offices in Chorley.


Join the team as a
Rent Indemnity and Legal Coordinator. In this role, you will help with rent protection claims and manage legal processes (like Section 8 & Section 21 notices) for both insured and non-insured landlords.

Working as a
Rent Indemnity and Legal Coordinator you will receive;

  • Salary of £23,000
  • Bonus up to £2,500

  • 37.5 hours per week contract. Core hours are Monday Friday 9am 5:30pm.

The main accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Create and manage Rent Protection policy claims in line with policy terms and conditions.
  • Respond to questions and issues about the policy
  • Initiate legal proceedings for property possession against tenants breaching contractual obligations, including serving notices (e.g., Section 8, NTQ, Section 21)
  • Work with solicitors for legal matters, track payments, and communicate with different parties.
  • Keep Avivainsured landlords updated on legal proceedings.
  • Inform noninsured landlords about potential legal actions.
  • Provide instructions to solicitors for court hearings under specific notices.
  • Gather facts for potential mediation or hearings, and keep landlords and tenants informed.
  • Engage in daily phone conversations with landlords and tenants, offering professional advice and customer service.
  • Approach the role with a practical mindset, considering the binding tenancy agreement requiring ontime rent payments.
  • Negotiate payment plans for arrears with tenants, guarantors, and landlords, or guide tenants to seek independent help and legal advice
To be considered for this role must have the ability and skills to negotiate, communicate and influence challenging situations.


Experience within lettings/estate agency is also highly desirable along with being results driven, customer focused and have the willingness to learn.

Comprehensive knowledge of the lettings industry is also preferable.
