You will have relevant experience in:

  • Organisational development practices and campaigns
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Understanding of early career and talent pathways into employment
  • Learning and development programmes, including apprenticeships

About the Role
What will you be doing?

Reporting into both a Strategic HR and OD Manager and Skills and Work Manager.

As an Employment Pathway Lead you will play a key role in leading the organisation in providing a solution focused, people centred approach to early career, talent pathways, and internal opportunities.

This is an exciting new role to develop and you will be expected to:


  • Codesign our early career and talent pathways for sustainable employment for our residents of Salford
  • Be innovative in developing new opportunities, understanding our young people's needs and aspirations
  • Create good working relationships to support managers and partners in recruiting in different ways
  • Design and implement strong engagement initiatives to connect people to our priorities and make a positive change in the way we provide opportunities for young people
  • Build great partnerships with our school, colleges, universities, and partners
  • Embed a positive and enabling culture aligned with the Council's priorities and values to drive a high performing organisation
  • Be creative about how we help shape the organisation
