Currently recruiting a Legal Secretary (Conveyancing) for a permanent role, based in South Lanarkshire for a great legal firm.

Description

  • Typing from digital dictation (via BigHand), handwritten drafts or typed documents.
  • Draft standard documents
  • Prepare Land Registration forms
  • Prepare LBTT Returns
  • Order First Scottish Reports/Searches
  • Prepare fee notes
  • Prepare cash statements
  • General administrative duties such as: photocopying/scanning and taking messages.

Profile

  • Good organisation and communication
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently to produce an efficient turnaround of work
  • Experience of all types of residential conveyancing, uptodate current knowledge of conveyancing procedures and documentation coupled with fast accurate audio typing skills are essential.
  • Competent with computer systems and ability to learn new systems
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to work with others and independently
  • Prior experience in working in a legal office/office management
