The Job
Apprentices will be working in all aspects of Window Installation

Some examples are:
Plan work, carry out checks to ensure the products are the right size to fit the aperture/meet the specifications.

Install products and fixings, ensure level and plumb, comply with regulations, manufacturers instructions and specifications.

Remove Windows and Doors and/or Prepare Apertures for Installation Activities.

Install ancillary, glazing, weatherproofing items to products in accordance with work instructions/manufacturers guidelines.

Although this is a Window Installer apprentice role, there may at times be some other aspects of construction involved in, which they shall be supervised and trained.

When the apprentices are working, they will be supervised by a fully qualified member of staff and will be shown all the correct procedures including health and safety in the workplace.

Along with ensuring that their work area is clean and safe, and that all the tools are cleaned and put away correctly at the end of each day.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will be fully qualified Window Installer and become a Window Installer with the employer.

Working Week

Apprentices will be expected to work a maximum of 45 hours a week, 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday with exception for college.
