Description
To carry out a range of general catering duties in an effective and efficient manner, promoting a positive and professional image

  • Observe and adhere to the Trust and Departmental policies, procedures and Standing Financial Instructions.
  • To carry out basic food preparation to include packing, labelling, displaying and chilling of sandwiches and other food
  • Serve meals within the agreed standards for portion control and

  • Clean, prepare and stock display counters as per daily
  • Clean equipment and furniture in accordance with cleaning schedules using correct methods and wearing personal protective equipment as
  • Deal effectively courteously and promptly with general enquiries directing unresolved issues to the Restaurant Services
  • Complete routine documentation as directed, in line with the department's Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points
  • Operate electronic tills, taking cash and assisting the duty supervisor to reconcile takings at the end of each shift, observing Standing Financial
  • Ensure areas are kept clean, tidy and in a safe
  • To have knowledge & with barista style coffees
  • Report any faulty and defective equipment to the duty
  • Report any pest control issues to the duty
  • Distribute provisions, meals and small equipment within the department and hospital
  • Ensure waste is disposed of in line with the Trust Waste
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as and when
  • To inform and seek advice, where appropriate from the duty supervisor should concerns arise which may affect the smooth running of the
  • Be flexible to other duties, appropriate to the grade that will facilitate the efficient smooth running of the
  • The postholder may be required to visit the wards on a regular basis to promote good patient/customer
