Job summary:


  • The MT Administrator is part of Motor Transport and sits within the Logistics Department of HMS Heron. He/she will provide administrative support to the MT Section and MT Manager and oversee the day to day transport administration in the Operations office.
  • This position is advertised at 37 hours
    Job description:
To assist the MT Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the MT Pool Vehicle fleet.

Receiving self drive requests and processing them onto the system.

To liaise with the MT Supervisor for approval to book requests that are not standard bookings.

To oversee the Clarity Speeding Reports once a week.

Processing all the necessary paperwork and contacting the offenders to arrange a brief with the MT Manager.


Point of contact for civilian speeding tickets and to identify and process the necessary paperwork for the MT Manager to notify the police of the offender.


Maintain the records for the issuing of Agency Fuel Cards and to check once a week that all cards are accounted for.

To assist the Information Systems Liaison Officer (ISLO) and be responsible for arranging training and completing requests for change. To help users when they require assistance. Prepare demands with justification for new service or hardware/software. Maintain an accurate record of users and hardware.

To maintain the MT Website and Sharepoint Team Site ensuring all data and links are up to date.


To raise all forms relating to accidents checking that all section of the form are completed and present to the MT Manager for signature, ensuring that all relevant forms are dispatched to the appropriate authority and an accident is raised for each case.


Person specification:


  • A positive attitude and ideally some experience of a Transport background. You will have a track record of operating with multifunction teams to support customers both remotely and onsite.
Using excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be able to prioritise, multitask and take command of situations with confidence
