We are currently seeking a production administrator to join a well-established manufacturing and supply company based in the Wednesbury area.


Job Role & Purpose


To provide administrative support specifically to the Head of Operations and Production Manager while also helping the wider teams to ensure systems and processes are maintained and information is recorded and input accurately.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • General administrative support for the Production Manager and Head of Operations including administrative tasks that would typically be required to support a busy manager.
  • Have administrative responsibility to support individual projects, that could include the recording of data, generating reports and producing KPI data and packs.
  • Provide regular production and logistics update reports, together with KPI's.
  • Provide support for preparing meetings, including sending invites, booking rooms, sending agendas, taking minutes and circulating actions.
  • Provide administrative support in preparing operational manuals, standard operating procedures and project documentation.
  • Data entry and maintenance of records on ERP system.
  • Record different types of data from daily production activities to determine efficiencies.
  • Screen telephone calls, enquiries and requests and handling them when appropriate.
  • Maintain Health & Safety records and input relevant records on the H&S management system.
  • Maintain stock levels of First Aid equipment and ensure weekly checks take place of all first aid kits in the production areas.
  • Monitor, maintain and order essential kitchen supplies for all office areas.
  • Act as lead coordinator for the Health & Safety committee meetings.
  • Experienced within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Need to be flexible to cover a variety of projects
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Need to be highly organised
