Location can be either London or Sheffield- Leadership of a department of approximately 1200 IT professionals, to support a portfolio of circa 800 systems directly used by colleagues of the bank, with a view to enhancing colleague experience.
- Drive an industry leading colleague experience for the 200,000 plus HSBC staff that use the internally facing colleague systems.
- Deliver integrated end to end solutions for our colleagues that eliminate manual workarounds and transform our colleagues' experience
- Define and organise colleague value streams and align the organisational structure to deliver the core colleague experience outcomes
- Drive engineering excellence across the organisation and define an industry leading end state architecture aligned to the technology Vision 27 Modern and Simple Architecture
- Be the advocate for the voice of the colleague
- Implement, monitor and improve NPS scores for the systems and automated continuously improve the service for our colleagues
- Influence strategy and shape the Colleague Experience estate, building stakeholder buyin around plans, commitments and changes.
- Provide a stable and performant Production service that meets the requirements of the HSBC business now and in the future
- Establish cross GBGF Governance structure to bring together all the key stakeholders that can influence the outcomes for related project demand/initiatives, and manage prioritisation conversation, in relation to delivering improved colleague experience
- Manage the budget allocation and prioritisation for Colleague Experience Technology, and be responsible for identifying, delivering, and tracking benefits
- Responsible for adoption of group standards, policies and services and the management of the control environment for Colleague Experience technology to operate within business and Group IT risk appetite
- Share best practice across Technology and partner with peers to drive cultural change initiatives, enabling a technology led business
- Manage negotiation with, management of, and service agreement monitoring of third party contracts with Technology suppliers
- Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks to committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
- Be a member of the Enterprise Technology Management team, assisting the CIO, Enterprise Technology in delivering transformative and sustainable change across the HSBC Group.
Impact on the Business
- Define and deliver the Colleague Experience IT Strategy, complimenting the business strategy and aligning with the Group Technology Strategy
- Champion and implement technology solutions to support the Colleague Experience requirements of HSBC
- Oversee ongoing adoption and adherence of the control environment for Colleague Experience technology
- Manage and track the expenditure and benefits of technology transformation
- Work with key business stakeholders (COO, CIO, Architecture, Data Leads, Finance, etc.) to implement colleague facing technology solutions aligned to the Group Technology Strategy
- Provide oversight of technology transformation programmes in market and region, as well as reporting the Global position
- Liaise with internal / external stakeholders including both local and Group regulatory bodies with respect to Colleague Experience technology transformation activities
- Working with Risk Stewards to provide oversight of technology risks, define path to green activity and support internal audit activity
- Provide leadership to the Colleague Experience technology team, promoting and inspiring a culture of Engineering Excellence
- Provide leadership and consultancy to Business and Function areas to define their colleague experience transformation journey
- Create, organize and partake in senior decision making forums in both the Technology and Business/Function areas
- Collaborate with peers across the bank to improve the technology tooling and development practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners/functions to support transformation delivery
- Work with delivery partners to mobilize implementation programs needed to delivery core functionality (process, people, and technology) across the organization
- Form part of the Enterprise Technology Leadership Team to simplify and standardise the technology estate
- Experienced senior technology manager with over 15 years' technology experience, including 8 years in management/leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in delivering complex global solutions, with a Colleague Experience focus, and deployment in regions and markets in demanding timeframes
- Proven experience in being an advocate for the voice of the colleague
- Proven experience in delivering business transformation through technology solutio
