Have experience working in an SEN provision, ideally a Pupil Referral Unit but it's not desired
Have experience managing challenging behaviour or experience working alongside learners with SEMH
Be passionate about working alongside SEN learners and helping them develop academic, social and emotional skills
Have a natural kind and nurturing nature
Will be patient, resilient and have quick problem solving skills

Will have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references

Will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment - £52

Your main responsibilities within this role will be to work alongside the SENCO, Class Teachers, Professionals (school therapists) and the Parents/Carers to provide feedback on the pupils academic and behavioural progress as well as to ensure the pupils are receiving the necessary support.
You will be required to assist Class Teachers in managing challenging behaviour by leading 1:1 behaviour interventions where you will help the pupil reflect on their behaviour and identify what changes they can make to improve upon it.
You will be working with pupils across KS2 and KS3.
