Facilities Technician

Location:
Brentwood, Essex


Salary Range:
£35,000 - £45,000 per year


Overview:

Join our marine engineering company in Brentwood as a Facilities Technician.

You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our buildings, infrastructure, and facilities across various UK sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing maintenance activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in maintaining, upgrading, and ensuring regulatory compliance of buildings, infrastructure, offices, and workshop facilities.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance for workshop machinery and equipment to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Support electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems installation, modification, and maintenance within the buildings.
  • Manage service contracts for outsourced services and procure new machinery or company equipment.
  • Collaborate on office and workshop layouts design, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement SHEQ policies and adhere to local and group policies, reporting to the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance, with expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, and HVAC disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, building systems, and relevant regulations.
  • Proactive individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to develop skills and take on new responsibilities with provided training.
  • Full clean driving license required.
  • Availability for unsocial hours and outofhours call outs.
