The Governors of Sherwood Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our highly committed and hardworking team.

We are looking for a highly skilled teaching assistant who:

  • is a strong classroom practitioner and open to continued development
- committed to promoting positive attitudes to learning
- builds positive relationships with children, parents, staff and visitors alike
- is committed to working as part of a team
- can use literacy, numeracy and computing skills effectively
recognises the strengths of each child and can work with the class teacher to address next steps for learning for each childEssential Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/NumeracyEssential Experience

  • Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
Experience of Administrative workDesirable Experience
