Are you interested in a job that will allow you to operate machinery, hand tools and plant equipment?
As well as this you'll get involved in the assembly of railway crossings in accordance with relevant specifications.
We are looking for people with backgrounds/experience in engineering to join our fantastic team as multi-skilled operatives.

Job duties (Responsibilities and Accountabilities):

To work under the direction of Team Leader/ Production Supervisor as required.
Able to read and work to engineering drawings.
Uses correct measuring tools for the task in hand (including tape, verniers, calipers, gauges and templates).
Set and operate a number of power presses
Safely operate a Flash-ButWelder once training has been given
Assembles wing rails onto manganese steel crossings to correct tolerance with minimum supervision.
Familiar with approved methods of gauging track.
Uses hand grinding tools, such as angle grinders and die grinders.
Assists with dispatch and other duties, when required.
To assemble product and subcomponents as required
Operates overhead cranes to move crossings and rails onto press and other machines
Operate CNC profiler
Use of band saws and circular rail saws
Complies with safety, health, environmental and quality policies and procedures

Skills and Experience required:

Awareness of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality issues
Basic engineering qualification or experience
Able to read and work to engineering drawings
Certified qualification in slinging (desirable)
Able to work under pressure to deadlines and targets
Experience in the use of hand/power tools
