Vacancies have arisen for Band 7 Advanced Cardiac Physiologists within Cardiothoracic Services at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (C&V UHB).
The Cardiac Physiology Department is a vibrant and busy department providing tertiary services to South Wales.
We are looking for bright, keen and motivated individuals who are ready to take the next stage in their careers and join our Band 7 team delivering comprehensive Cardiac Device Therapy, Cardiac Catheter Lab and Non-Invasive Diagnostics services.
- The Palpitations Clinic
- Valve Screening Clinic
- Cardiac Device followup clinics
- Implantation of Injectable Loop recorders.
There is a strong emphasis on professional development, with opportunities to gain high level skills and qualifications within the Cardiac Device (PPM/ICD/CRT), Cardiac Catheter Lab, Electrophysiology and Non-Invasive Services.

The role advertised is rotational throughout the department, and ideally applicants should have had practical experience across a range of areas, including but not limited to: Cardiac Device Therapy, a wide range of Cardiac Catheter Lab procedures and Non-Invasive Diagnostics.
A BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent experience is essential and one of the following advanced level qualifications: IBHRE or BHRS or currently working towards.

The successful applicant will be expected to work across both University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough sites as well as participating in the on-call rota.
