Description
We are looking to recruit a Conservation Ranger to work within our contract in the Lincoln area.


You will assist the Senior Conservation Ranger with management and maintenance duties on land within the Council's ownership, for which a conservation value has been designated under the Local Development Framework,(including Hartsholme Country Park ,Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve, 'Non-operational land').

It should be noted that this includes work within one or more S.S.S.I.

To undertake caravan/campsite duties as directed by the Senior Conservation Ranger, and in accordance with the shift system operating for the caravan/campsite.

Weekend working is a requirement of the post and covering 1 weekend in 4 is a requirement.

Applicants must hold a horticultural or conservation qualification and have the ability to drive up to 3.5t vehicles.

Experience of leading voluntary groups and others in practical site maintenance and conservation tasks advantageous.

£10.60-£11.50 per hour

Experience:

- leading voluntary groups: 1 year (preferred)

  • Driving Licence (up to 3.5t) (required)
- horticultural or conservation qualification (preferred)
