Description
To maintain efficient and effective communication between departments, work colleagues and external partners. To liaise closely with the clinical team. To deal professionally with sensitive issues. To deal efficiently with all correspondence and the preparation of correspondences.
To deal positively and promptly with internal and external enquiries both telephone and personal, liaising with staff, patients and relatives as appropriate.
To ensure Consultants and the Directorate Management team are kept regularly updated on issues relating to theatres and waiting lists.
To work without direct supervision and to take immediate and remedial action to resolve issues within level of authority and recognise when escalation to a more senior member of the team is required.
To undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Directorate Manager and other senior Managers within the Directorate, commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.
