Sales Distribution Leader - UK and Ireland

This well-established company is looking for someone who has experience owning distribution partners and building customer and sales team relationships and effectiveness.

With Experience in the Kitchen & Bathroom Residential Sector serving Big Box, OEM direct channels.


This is a very senior role within the business and will require an experienced sales leader who can manage a sales team, their own client base, develop team strategies for generating more growth and play an instrumental role within the business to grow their market share.


SALARY:
very competitive with a 15% discretionary bonus + co car or allowance and excellent benefits.


LOCATION:
Remote.
This is a field-based role, and you will focus on visiting clients within the UK and Ireland when required.

JOB OVERVIEW


To be a key member of the company sales function and having a record of being an effective leader and winning business.

Leading the sales team for the commercial customer base for sales channels for the brands. Ability to excite and drive productivity into the customer base whilst maintaining the core business. Seeking new areas within channels and new market opportunities for the company brands. Effectively managing and achieving sales growth across the customer base, in line with business objectives and overall company guidelines.


DUTIES

Your duties would include:

  • Develop and own channel strategy and execution for the industrial customer base.
  • Ownership and responsibility to develop and implement sales plans & budgets for the industrial customer base.
  • Lead the industrial sales team for the UK & Ireland setting annual goals and objectives in line with local drivers to achieve the EMEA strategy and vision.
  • Develop margin growth within customer base bringing a category management approach to range management.
  • Maintaining share of wallet portfolio with competitor volumes and developments at product level.
  • Identifying sales opportunities in target markets outside of core and maintaining feedback on potential customers.
  • Maximise all potential opportunities with the company portfolio and delivering sales growth through new product listings and capturing competitor business.
  • Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide team members with feedback.
  • Operating a rolling forward plan of business development within the pipeline metrics for a 3 to 4 year rolling period.
  • Working with product management to remove run off items and avoid obsolescence materials.
  • Driving conversion of projects and delivering the sales pipeline targets. Ensuring team members have established run rates and conversion targets.
  • Commercial buildup of product pricing and price list management.
  • Effective analyses and monitoring of customer purchase volumes.
  • Forecasting the customer demand into the business and driving forecast accuracy from the team.
  • Effective range management ensuring ranges are refreshed and vitality metrics are met inline with company & customer requirements.
  • To ensure customer contracts and rebate agreements are up to date and are commercially viable / beneficial for the business.
  • Developing process for sales operations improvements. Working with customer service to provide the best costeffective service to the customer.
  • Overall industry margin improvement through use of baseline approach year on year.
  • Develop vitality baseline and targets for industrial customer base.
  • Maintain OTIF performance levels 98% above.
  • Working with cross functional divisions to provide best experience and development to the customer base.
  • Provide monthly commercial updates and timely information flow to senior management.
  • Keeping team appraised of performance and establishing individual key performance indicators.
  • Involved in recruitment and training of staff.
  • Ensuring costs are within budget.
  • To build and lever horizontal & vertical customer relationships
