Job - Food Production Operative

Location - DN4 5FB

Pay rate - £10.42

Linear Recruitment are working with a company that was first established in December 2003 working in partnership with another company, after 4 years of partnership, they reformed as an individual Limited Company in June 2007 so I will be looking for someone with experience within the food production industry and are based in South Yorkshire.

The company we are working with specialise in innovation and progress in the Food Distribution and Wholesale sector. We are looking for Temp to Perm Food Production Operatives to join their team to cover the Doncaster area.

Duties expected from the Food Production Operative

Maintaining safety standards such as wearing protective gear such as ear plugs and safety glasses when working with machinery or in hazardous environments.
Preparing food ingredients by measuring, mixing, stirring, chopping, slicing, dicing, peeling, or otherwise preparing them for use in meal preparation.
Monitoring equipment such as ovens, stoves, deep fryers, grills, microwaves, or other cooking devices to ensure they are operating correctly.
Performing sanitation tasks such as cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces using cleaning chemicals or other detergents.
Mixing ingredients to create new products or improve existing ones.
Storing food items in refrigerators or freezers to maintain freshness until they are used.
Marking food products with expiration dates or other labels such as "organic" or "gluten free".
Clearly identifying food storage locations for items such as canned goods or bottled liquids.
Operating machines such as mixers and grinders to grind meat or blend ingredients together.

Essentials for the Food Production Operative position:

Good standard of general education.

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and be able to work quickly.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a changeable environment.
Good attitude and approach to work.
Punctual and hardworking.
A team player with high levels of motivation and initiative.
Good English communication verbal, written and reading.

Desirable:

Experience of working in a fastpaced factory environment.
Previous experience within food manufacturing.
