Role Outline


Tick Tock All Stars Nursery in Nottingham are looking for passionate, committed and dedicated apprentices to work at Level 2 or 3.

You will work alongside staff to deliver high-quality early education to young children, as well as complete your apprenticeship qualification with Orange Moon Training.

There is opportunity for progression, either onto a more advanced apprenticeship qualification or employment within the setting.

Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Role Requirements

The course is delivered through a blended model which means a mix of:
To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
To give support to other team members throughout the nursery
To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
To build and maintain strong partnerships with parents
To work within the requirements set out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, setting the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to 5 years old

Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks, and at other settings, as may be reasonably requested by the setting.

Qualification


Upon completion of this course you will gain either a Level 2 apprenticeship as an Early Years Practitioner or a Level 3 apprenticeship as an Early Years Educator.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

The course is delivered through a blended model which means a mix of:
Classroom delivery (both face to face and online classrooms)
Observations of your practice in your setting by your assessor
Mentoring support from your class teacher and other staff
1-2-1 support from your class tutor
Self study to complete assignments set by your tutor

Your employer must allocate 20% of the total time you are employed to enable you to progress your apprenticeship training.

This will be supervised and monitored by your tutor.
Funding eligibility and entry requirements

You must be aged 16 or over, there is no upper age limit.

British citizen or resident in the UK for at least 3yrs with the right to work

You will be expected to have achieved a relevant level 2 qualification


It is preferable that you have already achieve GCSE grade 4 / 5 in both English and Maths, if not, then to start the course you must achieve an initial assessment of at least Entry Level 3 in both English and Maths.

Course completion

All course work and practical observations as set by your tutor must be completed

To complete you will need to pass an external "end point assessment"


Apprentices without English at level 1 and Maths at Level 1 at the start of the programme must achieve these prior to taking the End Point Assessment.

These qualifications will be delivered as part of your apprenticeship programme if required.

Your course will be graded pass, merit or distinction

You will be awarded the following certificates of completion of the course

Apprenticeship certificate form the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Qualifications.

Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners

Functional Skills in Maths and English if you have not already achieved these at GCSE.
