About Priory Avesbury House:


Avesbury House is a low secure rehabilitation and recovery facility split into five independent living units, for males aged 18 years and older.

We provide 24-hour specialist care and support for those with enduring mental health needs.

Our aim is to support residents to make the transition from group living in restricted environments, to managing their own tenancy in the community, wherever possible.

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join and help lead a newly developed network of Mental Health Act Administrators. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised individual with experience of Mental Health Act administration in healthcare.

This is a specialist administration role which can be demanding and will require the person to engage with others confidently and compassionately, placing patient experience and care at the centre of their approach.

It sits within a newly formed larger regional team and the post-holder will be a part of creating a supportive community of practice across multiple sites.


You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Mental Health Act administration of two sites as well as supporting and reporting to the Regional Mental Health Act Lead.

The role will also include managing other Mental Health Act Administrators as part of the wider Mental Health Act team.

You will need to have great communication skills.

You will need be emotionally resilient and be able to demonstrate an empathy towards our patients and their needs within Mental Health Act legislation.

You will need to be able to problem solve with others.

You will receive support and development from the regional team and others working in Mental Health Act roles across the country.
