Learning Support Assistant - (SEMH, Primary & Secondary age in Bury St Edmunds) needed


I am currently working with a fantastic new school on exciting new Learning Support Assistant roles in the Bury St Edmunds area.


Starting from ASAP or after February half term, the school are looking for an dedicated individuals to work in a Learning Support Assistant capacity and to join them on a permanent basis.

  • Currently only have 35 children with potential to increase to 70 pupils
  • Children are currently aged between year 5 to year
  • Cater for children with social emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Provides a safe and enriching environment

  • Has a wealth of resources available for both pupils and staff
  • Plenty of parking available in private car park

The Role:


  • Supporting children on either a 121 or small group basis
  • Onsite and offsite support for children
  • Part and full time available (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Due to expansion of the school there is fantastic progression opportunities
  • No two days will be the same
  • Highly rewarding position

What you will need:


  • Ability to build rapport and working relationships with children
  • Experience or understanding of additional needs
  • Confident to work on 121 and small group basis
  • Positive and energetic approach to work
  • Reliable and trustworthy individual
  • Empathy and understanding of children's individual needs
  • Enhance DBS check (we can provide this)
