**Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Tamworth £24,000£28,000**

Purchase Ledger Clerk responsibilities:


  • Match invoices/credits to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Following up on unauthorised invoices/credits
  • Deal with invoices and payment queries from suppliers and internally
  • Ensuring that all correspondence relating to overdue accounts is resolved
  • Raise debt memos for supplier returns
  • Producing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Open & distribute post
  • Preparation and processing of weekly payment runs
  • Stakeholder management at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Any filing and ad hoc duties as required
  • Helping to operate the companies paperless system
  • Any other Administration duty applicable as and when required

What we're looking for:


  • Passionate about working in accounts payable
  • Previous accounting studies may be seen as beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Must be able to prioritise workloads

Hours:


  • Full time Monday to Friday
