At L3Harris Brighton, we are looking for a ManufacturingEngineer to develop, implement and analyse engineering plans and projects.

You will then be responsible for communicating those plans and projects to internal and external customers.

At L3Harris in Brighton we are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain.

We specialise in high performance electro-mechanical systems and pneumatic technology for airborne weapon carriage release.


What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Ensure products are manufacturable and can be industrialised for serial production
  • Approval of drawings from a manufacturing perspective
  • Ensuring manufacturing instructions are available for machining and assembly
  • Maintaining and creation of manufacturing routes on the business system
  • Liaise with the suppliers to discuss new designs and concepts feed this back to the engineering team
  • Engage with quality engineers ensuring quality plans are created and products can be verified

What you'll bring
The role of Manufacturing Engineer requires the following experience and skills:

  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Experience in machining and assembly of electromechanical products and operating in an industry associated with electromechanical production
  • Experience using Lean techniques ideally with a certified qualification.
  • Able to use SolidWorks or other CAD software to design manufacturing aids and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to produce project reports in accordance to manufacturing operations
