Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.


We have an opportunity as a higher clerical officer based at Udston Hospital to provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Where appropriate, supervise clerical staff and provide support to the line manager. You will Provide patients and other service users with information and assistance as appropriate. You will also Supervision of clerical officers where appropriate.

Knowledge, Training Or Experience Required For The Job

  • Experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.
  • Educated to Higher Grade level.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
