Year 4 Teaching Assistant | 1:1 ASD | West Drayton


Our client school in
West Drayton (Hillingdon Borough) of is seeking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and resilient individual to support a Year 4 pupil with Autism and attachment issues.


The role:


The role involves supporting a Year 4 child who has been diagnosed with autism and working at a Year 1 level academically, the child also has attachment issues therefore requires a reliable and empathetic individual to build a positive rapport with him.

You will also be supporting the class as a whole as there will be various other needs as well.


The child needs someone with a compassionate but assertive approach who is able to set boundaries and adapt to new and challenging situations.


The school:


The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for offering support by communicating effectively with parents/carers and working with the SENCo to ensure all children can access the curriculum regardless of disadvantages or additional needs.


Main Expectations:


  • 3+ months experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Minimum teaching qualification or be degree educated
  • Have a cando attitude and passion for supporting SEN children

Salary:
£75.00-£90.00 per day
