Description

We are looking for enthusiastic, empathic, genuine and patient people to join our team, who are interested in making a difference to two adult young men's lives.

As a team, we support two autistic twin men in their own home, using a range of research-based approaches, such as person centred therapy, elements of applied behaviour analysis, picture exchange communication systems and a low-arousal approach.

Duties

To assist in the design and implementation of therapeutic programmes.
To support the individual to be autonomous in selfcare.
To monitor and take accurate data daily.
To support individuals during times of challenging behaviour.
To model best practice and professionalism at all times.
To support the individual in their domestic skills.
To attend mandatory training, supervision and team meetings.
To promote safeguarding and wellbeing for the individuals.
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends and provide cover.
To work or be down for cover every other Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve.
To support the individual hiking, cycling and in other similar activities.
Other duties as required by your manager

Essential

The
minimum working hours per week are 15 & there is a 6week initial trial period to ensure compatibility/suitability.
A positive attitude
To be flexible and take constructive feedback well, when engaging in reflective practice.
To be able to work overnights, weekends, Christmas period and be available for emergency cover.

Preferred

Hold a clean UK driving licence
Previous experience with LD's/Autism would be helpful but not essential.

We are a flexible team and can offer hours to suit those with academic commitments
