As a Barclays Compliance Services Assurance Senior Manager, you will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of Conduct, Financial Crime, and Reputational risk management across the Bank by examining controls, culture, and behaviours.

What will you be doing?:


  • Designing and delivering independent riskbased assurance reviews over the Conduct, including Financial Crime, and Reputation Principal Risk.
  • Assist Review Leads to ensure timely delivery of assurance reviews and adherence to the Compliance Assurance methodology.
  • Participate in the execution of planning, testing, and reporting in addition to the monitoring and validation of issues and actions.
  • Being accountable for timely and accurate completion of assurance deliverables, with clear and concise findings, valuable insights, and informed opinions.
  • Realise efficiencies within the review lifecycle to heighten the overall assurance product effectiveness and allow for compression of the endtoend lifecycle.
  • Keeping up to date on developments, regulatory change, changes to internal policies and Compliance objectives so work remains relevant and valuable.
  • Providing support to the Head of Compliance Assurance and the Management Team on adhoc activities and driving forward strategic initiatives.
  • Building relationships and dealing with global resources and key stakeholders to enable the timely completion of duties.

What we're looking for:


  • Solid analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify key risks, areas of nonconformance and identify root cases.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to all levels of the business, so that they are clear and impactful.
  • Track record of high performance and effective execution, ability to deliver high quality work in a timely and structured manner as part of a team.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience in developing and executing assurance testing strategies to assess the effectiveness of control environments.
  • Experience and knowledge of compliance and/or financial crime regulations, risks, technology systems/solutions.
  • Experience in completing assurance reviews/controls testing/audits to a high standard and with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across a variety of business areas and topics while delivering reviews in a timely and complete fashion.
