Description

Reed Scientific are partnered with a specialist Medical company, based near Hereford, looking for a Lab Manager to join a developing team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Management of staff in relation to their performance of testing of biological samples.
  • Liaising with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies, appropriate administrative officials, healthcare providers, suppliers, service providers and other external officials, as required.
  • Providing input into the Quality Management System, Quality Management Review and selection and monitoring of referral laboratories, as well as other suppliers.
  • Take an active role in maintaining and improving quality standards consistent with compliance to relevant laboratory accreditation bodies, in particular ISO 15189 Medical Laboratories.
  • Participating in the production, updating and review of laboratory documentation, particularly relating to policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and taking responsibility for continuing professional development.
