A busy primary school in South Birmingham is looking for an IT Technician to join their dynamic team of support staff.

Are you an IT technician who wants to expand their experience and work in a fast-paced, entertaining environment? Are you proficientin the maintenance of IT systems and software? The school is looking to update its IT support and introduce a more contemporary approach to technology, integrating it into the everyday learning of its students.

As an IT Technician, you should be familiar withcommon hardware and software, however you will be supervised by the ICT manager who will introduce you to the systems.


The IT Technician Role:

  • Provide IT support to staff and students throughout the day
  • Manage the IT equipment and resources
  • Advise staff on the purchase of new IT equipment
  • Maintain the rollout of software that requires manual intervention
  • Report faults in a timely manner and follow up with solutions
  • Have an awareness of the systems used in the school
  • Lead intervention groups where computing underpins the lesson
