Are you a SEND Lecturer looking to teach young adults at a college based in Central London?


Our client is looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic SEND Lecturers to join their successful, hardworking and inclusive SEND team on a permanent basis as soon as possible.


About The College


The College is a further education college with sites based in Central and North London It offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses for 16-18-year-olds and adult learners, such as A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees, Access to Higher Education and employability training.


About the role:


We require knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers to teach within our MLD/SLD provision and a specialist teacher to work with our cohort of learners with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated behavioural needs.

These are specialist posts and experience in these fields is crucial.

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective teaching, assessment, tutoring and will take a lead in the learners' pastoral care.


The Person:

The ideal SEND Lecturer will have a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. DTLLS, PCET, PGCE or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Education A PTLLS or CTLLS teaching qualification) and evidence of teaching learners with SEND.

You will have an excellent understanding of the learning needs of MLD/SLD learners and preferably a specialist qualification in teaching this cohort.

You will be able to baseline assess students and document the learner journey, setting effective SMART targets and identifying distance travelled.

The successful SEND Lecturer will develop innovative and forward-thinking approaches to learning and communication tools to maximize pupil potential and learning opportunities.

You will be an enthusiastic specialist teacher who can differentiate effectively and who has strong classroom management.

Salary:
£31,442.00-£46,717.00 per year
