This warm and welcoming SEN specialist school in the heart of Leeds are looking to appoint a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant for the new academic year, starting ASAP.
As an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting pupils in class, utilising the sensory rooms/outdoor play areas, and creating a fun learning environment.
SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant - Role Description
- SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant graduate role
- Paid teaching support placement £450 £550 per week
- Shortlisting now
- Based in the same school for remaining academic year and next year
- Support pupils with SEN/SEMH across the school
- Work closely with the class teacher to identify which pupils require additional support
- Utilise the sensory rooms at appropriate times of the day
- Adhere to learning support plans and record progress
- Act as a good role model for all pupils

- Experience or knowledge of SEN would be advantageous
- Experience using deescalation tactics
