Description
An opportunity has arisen for a resource planner to join our successful manufacturing business.

This is a key role in the production process that ensures that the right product, is delivered to the right place at the right time, in the right quantity.

You will work closely with the production team to ensure sales and production targets are met. You will be working from our factory in Wrexham (LL13 9QS. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 7:4- 4:45pm and Friday 8am - 2pm.

As a Purchasing & MRP Controller you will be supporting the business through your core tasks and responsibilities these will include, but are not limited to:

  • Running MRP daily
  • Ensure that the materials required to manufacture finished products or finished products themselves are available on time, in full, to meet customer and business requirements
  • Raising and managing Purchase orders and/or Works orders in line with MRP recommendations
  • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers.
  • Reduce overall stockholding through managing purchased quantities and stock counts.
  • Raising any discrepancies with suppliers
  • Raising new codes on Sage for Raw Materials and Finished Goods
  • Liaising with internal departments
  • Resolving day to day issues as and when they arise
  • Ensuring prices are kept up to date on Sage.
  • Supporting the purchase invoice process
  • Other task as required to support the business
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar purchasing position
  • Previous experience of resource management software ERP or MRP
  • Proficient using Sage
  • Confident Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience of consistently achieving right firsttime results.

Salary:
£23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
