What you'll be doing

The Portfolio office resourcing analyst is responsible resource management covering but not exclusive the utilisation, allocation, on-boarding and off-boarding of the TTA Portfolio Office pooled resources and portfolio office resources.

The role will collaboratewith other key stakeholders to manage a proactive resourcing view of the pooled resources.

The role will also be engaged with the appraisal / PDR process to capture capability updates to ensure alignment with new initiatives in the portfolio plan.

Supportthe portfolio planning process to ensure that inflight, pipeline and predictive programme and project demand is fully understood, planned and visualised for senior management.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Manage collection the requirements of the Pooled Resources.
  • Ensure the resource profiles are proactively resourced to allow for the delivery of the portfolio plan
  • Scrutinise and challenge resourcing requirements appropriately
  • Facilitate the resourcing process including raising of PAWS, PO's and extension and termination of contract,
  • Allocate resource based on requirements of planned portfolio initiatives
  • Ensure updates of competency reviews are embedded into the resource management process,
  • Responsible for the offboarding of pooled and portfolio office resources
  • Ensure input into the resource management reporting,
  • Analyse and provide insight into the utilisation of the resources,
  • Address adhoc reporting requirements
  • Provide guidance to users (Process and procedures)
  • Responsible for the Programme Delivery resources to completion of timesheets and their approval
  • Support 'whatifanalysis' for additional demand into the portfolio,
  • Prepare for resource management meetings with HR and agency staff

What you should bring to the role:

  • Educated to Degree level or similar relevant qualification
  • Prince2 and or MSP practitioner
  • P3O qualification or at least good understanding
  • Project management and delivery experience
  • Highly Competent with all MS office software and Sharepoint
  • Expert MS Excel user
  • Proactive approach to delivery and issue resolution
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interest in project delivery and controls
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies
  • Effective trainer, mentor and coach
  • Demonstrates the ability to engage and communicate persuasively with a broad range of stakeholders, up to and including board level
