About Us

The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, is a purpose-built facility for young people aged 8-19, or age 25 for anyone with a disability.

Alongside providing young people with access to a range of activities under youth work provision, The Hive ensures young people have somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.

The Role
15 hours per week 4:30am - 7:30am

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday

Cleaning has become a vital part of our day-to-day operation at The Hive.

As we welcome more young people back into the youth zone cleaning of touch points, equipment and regular toilet cleaning will be vital.

You will provide a high standard of cleaning services throughout Wirral Youth Zone.

As a critical member of the team, you will contribute to ensuring that a great first impression is always given to visitors, and that all areas of the youth zone are always safe and clean.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for cleaning areas of the Youth Zone as allocated by the Facilities Manager
To perform various cleaning activities including cleaning toilets, sanitary fittings and surrounds; spot cleaning of spillages; wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, door handles glass; emptying and cleaning bins; mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces; floor polishing; wiping, replenishing supplies in toilets; and cleaning of furniture and equipment
To operate cleaning machinery for cleaning soft and hard surfaces, such as vacuum cleaners and polishers
To follow daily cleaning routines and schedules
To report any emergency maintenance problems, including toilets and other water fixtures, or hazards immediately to the onsite Manager
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
