Description

CABI is looking for a curious and enthusiastic individual with data governance and data policy skills to support our growing portfolio of data policy and practice projects within CABI's digital development theme.

This role is most suitable for a mid-career scientist with data governance/policy, international development and implementation experience, with a keen interest in good data management, access, and sharing practices.

Background to the role:

Activities in the agricultural domain produce significant amounts of data, with an increasing emphasis being placed on how to share, analyse and reuse.

Most of these activities take place within complex systems, in which data-focused interventions must consider the most appropriate ways to effect change.

CABI is establishing itself as experts in facilitating human centred design-informed policy, processes and tools to help its stakeholders manage, use and share data more effectively.

Our data policy and practice expertise complement CABI's strong expertise in data collection and analytics through its scientific publishing, Compendia and database business, as well as through its major international development programmes.
