This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Cancer Workforce. We are looking for a dynamic individual with extensive experience in delivering SACT and a passion for education. This post is for 1 year fixed term or secondment with permission from your line manager.

The post holder will need excellent communication skills, effective time management and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders innovatively.


SACT is expanding rapidly, as are our cancer services - which have recently grown with the development of an Oncology Assessment Unit.

To ensure we have flexible, robust, competent staff who work to the highest levels of clinical and evidence-based practice we are looking for a designated SACT/Cancer clinical educator.


We want to see the role support the delivery of short courses, study days and virtual learning opportunities using a range of multimedia for all members of the MDT.

We expect the role will also involve designing and delivering clinical learning opportunities to improve patient care as well as working directly alongside the staff.


In this role, you will work closely with the Clinical Education Team, the Lead Chemotherapy Nurse and our Cancer areas.

If you are an experienced SACT / Cancer nurse with a passion for education, staff development and innovative working this could be the role for you

  • Update and support with the SACT new starter programme
  • Embed induction programme for those entering the SACT / cancer outpatient and inpatient areas including areas outside of CSS division
  • Support the development of the workforce across the organisation
  • Support the implementation of the ACCEND framework

It provides a number of services, including an outpatient department, diagnostic and surgical procedures, as well as a surgical ward.
