Are you a qualified Assistant Practitioner looking to join a team of dynamic and caring professionals?

An opportunity has arisen to join the Access and Assessment Team based at Northgate Hospital, Great Yarmouth. The team works in a recovery focused way with individuals who are experiencing severe and enduring mental ill-health.

Our assessment and triage team are based at Northgate Hospital, Great Yarmouth. However the team are required to travel across the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area to visit service users. You'll be working alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team of Assistant Practitioners, Nurses, Peer Support Workers and Psychiatrists.

You will need to be conscientious and do everything you can to provide patient centred care.

You will work within the NSFT trust values and be able to meet deadlines to ensure that the service is delivered safely and effectively making sure service users obtain the support and care they need in a timely manner.


Our welcoming and collaborative team is recovery focused, supporting individuals who are referred into the adult mental health service to receive the correct advice, support and signposting.

By joining our team, you will be well supported to develop further your knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based interventions for the group of service users.

Personal development will be supported through meaningful Appraisal and via a bespoke training package (a comprehensive in house & external training programmes).

On a monthly basis you will be offered reflective practice sessions, mandatory clinical supervision, and Line management supervision. You will also have an opportunity to actively take part in Quality improvement projects within the service.

There is also opportunities to enrol in local university training programmes in medication management as well as numerous other developmental opportunities.
