£73-£84 per day

An
'outstanding' SEN school in North Shields is looking for a learning support assistant to work with a class of 6 pupils with autism.

Each class has around 3 to 4 LSA's and the school provides amazing training on communication, sensory strategiesand behavior management for new members of staff.


The main duties will include:

  • Supporting the pupils in their education through the schools own curriculum
  • Supporting the class teacher with recording attainment, behavior plans and EHCP paperwork
  • Carrying out interventions in small groups and 1:
  • Following the schools behavior management policy effectively
  • Promoting independence with life skills
  • Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday
  • Have some experience with autism (desirable but not essential)
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
  • A full checkable work history
  • In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
