Description
Our client is a leading International oil & gas process engineering company.

They have a requirement for a Principal Electrical Engineer to work on a 12 month contract, based in the South East project Office.


We are looking for a Principal level engineer who has a Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering, as well as being a Chartered Engineer or pursuing Chartered Engineer status.

We are looking for a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role,managing large project / budget.

This project requires a demonstrable understanding of large motors, both induction and synchronous, in the range of 1-10MW. Some experience with larger motors, 10MW up, will be a plus.

Experience in specification and procurement of low, medium and high voltageSwitchgear, Power transformers and power electronics:


  • LCI's, VSD's and Thyristor Controllers. Experience with software packages for analysis of power systems e.g. SKM Powertools or ETAP.
This role involves some short travels to Europe, East-Asia and Middle-East. Possibility of extension and Temp to Perm depending on business needs.
