Job Description:

Joining a small, friendly accounts team and reporting to the Financial Controller, duties for the Assistant Finance Officer will include:

  • Reconciliation of allocated balance sheet accounts, to include prepayments and accruals
  • Monthly reconciliation of Finance system to CRM system
  • Monthly completion and quarterly submission of VAT return and reconciliation
  • Assisting with fixed asset management including writeoff of old assets, location and invoice management
  • Assisting with production and submission of monthly Gift Aid claim
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Accruals journal and associated reconciliation
  • Cash book update
  • Daily, weekly and monthly cashflow reporting
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Assist with P11D's, PAYE Settlement Agreements and other returns
  • Supervise Purchase and Sales ledger areas, including tidy up of supplier listings
  • Production of trial balance and fixed asset movement reports for FD
  • Assist with archiving
  • Experience in a similar accounts role
  • AAT level 3/4 with relevant experience or qualified by experience
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial data
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A
  • C

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week (flexible on when hours are worked)

Pay rate:
£13.36 per hour
