LGE
The Buyer role is based within our LGE business area

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses


The role

The difference our new Buyer will make
As a Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Performing all tasks involved in the formation and administration of Purchase Orders, Purchase in accordance with the Company Quality Procedures


Day to day, you'll manage the buyer process from start to finish (negotiating to finalising), establish and maintain a good working relationship with Suppliers and where necessary with Customers, such that they would wish to receive and place future business with LGE Process, perform all tasks involved in the formation and administration of Purchase Orders, Purchase in accordance with the Company Quality Procedures.

Communication with Suppliers, Contractors, and Personnel within LGE Process and when necessary, within Babcock to establish a clear definition of requirements and to ensure performance to agreed contract terms.

The assistance of Central, form and issue purchase orders/contracts, administer all Purchase commitments and monitor supplier's performance for conformance to commercial terms

This role provides Hybrid working with 2 days per week on site.


Essential experience

  • Experience as a buyer broader
  • Negotiating experience
  • Supplier relationship management experience
  • Obtain or have the ability to obtain BPSS Clearance
