Receptionist
As a receptionist you will have/be:
- Ability to resolve problems, talking to people face-to-face, understanding how you can help and dealing with difficulties in a professional manner are important skills to have as a receptionist.
- Calm under pressure and ability to multitask whilst supporting students
- A personable polite and reassuring manner
- A people person, you love interacting with people, problemsolving and helping others. You'll need to be friendly, approachable and take a flexible approach to work
- Selfmotivated and highly organised
- Ability to listen carefully to instructions
- Able to work on your own but also in a team and liaise with different staff within the school
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel
- Flexibility and ability to prioritise tasks and workload to meet deadlines
- A high level of accuracy
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Strong typing and numeracy skills
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Understanding and interpreting data at a basic level
- Maintaining and updating information held on a data base or manually
- Scheduling and prioritising allocated work daily
- Welcoming people into the building
- Supporting students in ensuring their schools days run smoothly
- Take guests to meeting or waiting rooms
- Managing diaries and meeting rooms appointments
- Answering and transferring phone calls
- Sorting post, accepting external mail and parcels, recording deliveries
- Maintain a professional and tidy desk and reception area
