Description

We have an exciting opportunity in the Student Conduct and Appeals Team for someone with a passion for student administration and casework looking to use their skills in Higher Education to make a positive impact on the student experience and contribute to the reputation of the University.

You will join a highly regarded, small and supportive team to assist with individual student cases, covering a range of issues such as student conduct, fitness to practise, final stage appeals and complaints, OIA (the University ombudsman), and legal cases.

Working in a fast paced and stimulating environment, with an emphasis on high levels of confidentiality, accuracy and adherence to regulatory deadlines, you will provide administrative casework support to the Team.

You will communicate with students and staff within the University, as well as individuals outside the institution where appropriate, for example parents.

You will be responsible for maintaining electronic databases and recording systems, to include extracting accurate data for a range of tasks and reporting functions.

Educated to GCSE level (Grades A-C in English and Mathematics or equivalent) you will have proven administrative experience, ideally within a Higher Education setting.

You will have proven IT skills, experience of data inputting and processing, and working with electronic records and reporting systems, and a strong focus on customer care, with the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to enquiries and queries.

As this role has a strong procedural and regulatory context, experience of casework and/or working in a legal environment would be an advantage.

We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.

We're one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.

The University's Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect.

We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
